Colour never stands alone; it works in tandem with surface, shape and scale. Classic silhouettes update with unexpected hues, while experimental shapes become approachable in familiar neutrals. Darks get new depth from high-gloss glazes and pales go powdery in matte finishes. In our complex time, colour helps to express the dualities and contradictions of the moment: natural vs synthetic, masculine vs feminine, historic vs futuristic, and handcrafted vs digital technology.
